A huge thank you to our sponsors for Summer 2018!
iHeart Media and Clear Channel Outdoor Americas
For the third year, iHeart Media and Clear Channel Outdoor Americas have partnered with NSLA to promote the importance of summer learning in major U.S. cities through digital billboards spanning 20 U.S. markets and public service announcements (PSAs) voiced by former Baltimore Raven, John Urschel.
Litton Entertainment
Litton Entertainment showed summer learning PSAs on their channels reaching 10.5 million views.
Association for Library Service to Children
In addition to hosting Trombone Shorty Read-Aloud events at flagship library systems across the country, the Association for Library Service to Children collaborated with NSLA to create the Official 2018 Summer Reading List for National Summer Learning Day.
Association of Children’s Museums
Museums for All, an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the Association of Children’s Museums, offered free or reduced admission (up to $3) at more than 275 museums in 42 states for eligible SNAP participants.
Carson-Dellosa Publishing
Carson-Dellosa provided families with free educational games, sample books, fun activities, and printable worksheets such as samples from their Summer Bridge Activities® workbooks so kids can retain the skills needed to take on the new school year with confidence.
EverFi
Summer Slugger, an 18-week program by EverFi, targeted at fourth to fifth graders, unlocked activities at regular intervals and offered rewards for progress and consistency along the way. Students engaged with content that reinforces key foundational and procedural skills while enjoying the freedom and motivation of a baseball themed, game-based learning experience.
Lands’ End
On National Summer Learning Day, NSLA and Lands’ End partnered to kick off the second annual Love Learning Art Contest. Additionally, the partnership includes a new Love Learning Award where summer learning programs can win up to $10,000.
Scholastic
NSLA and Scholastic partnered to spread awareness about the importance of summer reading. Parents joined the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge by grabbing their kids’ favorite books, logging reading minutes, and most importantly, having fun over the summer!
