NSLA is offering individual $1,600 mini-grants to our non-profit program partners who can encourage college age students in their networks to review and fill out the FAFSA federal financial aid form. NSLA hosted a historic conference for nearly 1,000 education and civic leaders working to support youth, families, and communities at the national, state and local levels. They gathered to discuss how best to help students combat summer learning loss, and how to close the opportunity gaps that exists between higher and lower income students.
We believe that when kids continue learning during the summer, they are healthier, safer, and more prepared for the school year ahead.
